The 1 Gallon Gravity Water Filter System from Sawyer is one of the most versatile and lightweight water filter systems available and is perfect for backcountry hunting. At only 7 oz. total weight (empty) it combines the versatility of the Sawer MINI (Dual Threaded) with a gravity system that is easy to use and will fit in almost any pack.

It combines the popular Sawyer MINI filter (This model is dual threaded) with a durable 1 gallon bladder that features a wide mouth cap that's easy to fill and carry. This sytem is ideal for backcountry hunting, camping, and emergency preparedness. Dual threads on the MINI makes this system even more versatile and spill free. Simply thread mini onto any standard water bottle or sawyer water bladder and don't worry about losing precious water during transfer/filtration. This entire system comes in at just 8 ounces with MINI filter, 1 gallon reservoir, and included hoses/hardware.
Our lightest and most versatile personal water filtration system, the Sawyer MINI weighs just 2 ounces, fits in the palm of your hand, and is rated to 0.1 micron absolute filtration — removing 99.99999% of all bacteria, such as salmonella, cholera and E.coli, and removing 99.9999% of all protozoa (such as giardia and cryptosporidium).
0.1 Micron Absolute Filtration
Sawyer water filters contain a high number of tiny ‘U’ shaped hollow fiber micro-tubes that trap contaminants while allowing decontaminated water to freely pass through at a high flow rate — eliminating the need to store water and reducing the possibility of water contamination after the filtration process.
The dual-threaded MINI is certified for 0.1 micron filtration, meaning there is no pore size larger than 0.1 micron in size. This makes it impossible for harmful bacteria (like salmonella), protozoa, or cysts like E. coli, Giardia, Vibrio cholerae, and Salmonella typhi to pass through the filter.
All Sawyer water filters meet or exceed Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommended removal rates.
LET GRAVITY DO THE WORK
Unscrew the wide mouth opening and fill the bag with water from any source — lake, stream, faucet, etc. — and connect the included tube between the bladder and the Mini. After filling, hang the reservoir with the MINI below it from a tree, the back of your pack, or simply hold it up with your hand. Water will flow through the MINI to produce fresh, clean water for drinking and cooking.
100,000 GALLONS
Rated to filter up to 100,000 gallons, the MINI’s filtering membranes are sturdy enough to withstand backwashing using the included syringe, restoring up to 98.5% of the filter’s flow rate.
We also include our Cleaning Coupling accessory, enabling you to backwash the MINI using a standard plastic water or soda bottle (with 28mm threading).
The MINI can be cleaned and reused almost indefinitely with no expensive cartridges to replace… ever. We recommend backwashing and sanitizing the filter after every outing for optimized use.
MAXIMUM VERSATILITY
Ideal for outdoor recreation, hiking, camping, scouting, domestic and international travel, and emergency preparedness, the dual-threaded MINI gives you a number of ways to access clean water.
With threads on both sides, you can screw the push/pull cap onto the MINI for easy on/off functionality while filtering to control water flow.
For even more versatility, screw the filter onto most disposable water or soda bottles for drinking (or backwashing with the Cleaning Coupling), or attach it inline to tubing between your hydration pack and bite valve (sold separately).
