SNAKE RIVER (JACKSON HOLE)
The Snake is high and murky, not quite as high as the Hoback, but still not really fishable with fly tackle.
SOUTH FORK OF SNAKE RIVER
Flows have been increasing significantly over the past few weeks as the reservoir is filling up fast. Current flows are around 9000 cfs. Water is cold and fish are not super active right below the dam. As flows increase look for structure to hold fish. Streamers fished slowly will probably be the best option right now.
GREYS RIVER
The Greys is high and fairly turbid. Fish buggers and streamers in eddy's and behind structure.
SALT RIVER
The Salt has been rising very quickly as the tributaries out of Idaho are all running high. Over the next few weeks the salt will be at flood levels. Fishing will be very difficult for the next couple of weeks, as we anticipate the Wyoming tributaries are starting to flow a little higher and will start runoff in the coming weeks. CFS as of today is 3170. The best fishing in the Salt River drainage will be in the tributaries coming out of the Salt River Range (strawberry, cottonwood, swift, etc), before they start flowing higher.
